Brooks
Lake was originally two small fishing lakes that were drained
and reshaped to be a water ski lake. Multiple tractors, scrapers,
excavators and bulldozers were used to prepare the lake site.
Anchors
for the slalom course and jump ramp were placed and surveyed
prior to refilling the lake (using rainwater runoff). The
buoys
for the course were placed in March to be ready for skiing in
the summer months.

The
boat launch was placed with excavators and bulldozers after
the concrete was poured on shore.
Construction
is a never ending project. The jump ramp (shown here being resurfaced)
is now in the lake. Francis Holland is relaxing on the deck
by the lake. Francis is the all around fix it, make it, move
it, or dig it up keeper of the lake.
During
the summer of 2001, Unlimited Skiing held several small clinics
at Brooks Lake .

A
successful day for quite a few skiers making their first trips
around the lake.
