From Jackson and Jackson International Airport:

Go east on I-20 to Exit 54, Crossgates Blvd./Greenfield Road Exit.  Crossgates Blvd. is the next exit east of the Airport Exit.  At the signal light mark your mileage. Go right on Crossgates Blvd., past Home Depot, for 3.8 miles to the 3^rd signal light at Star Road. (Note:  Crossgates Blvd. becomes “Mississippi Highway 18 Bypass” after crossing the RR tracks.  Distance from I-20 to Star Road is 3.8 miles.  Star Road may appear on a map as Brandon-Star Road.)

Turn right on Star Road and travel south for 3.6 miles to Hemphill Drive.  Turn left on Hemphill Drive and go 1/10^th mile. Turn left into field through brown metal gated entrance.  Brooks Lake is visible from here.

From Brandon and points east on I-20

Westbound on I-20 take Exit 59 and go east on Hwy. 80 (under the interstate) to the second signal in Brandon at College Street.  There will be service stations on the right and left sides of the street.  Mark your mileage and turn left on College Street.  Proceed 4.9 miles passing Brandon Middle School, through one stop sign, and crossing through the signal at the Highway 18 Bypass to Hemphill Drive.  (Note:  College Street will turn into Star Road.  Star Road may appear on a map as Brandon-Star Road.) 

 Turn left on Hemphill Drive and go 1/10^th mile. Turn left into field through brown metal gated entrance.  Brooks Lake is visible from here.

Accommodations are not available at Brooks Lake at this time. Motel accommodations are located within 8 miles of the lake in Brandon and 14 miles  in Pearl.

·         Red Roof Inn & Suites - (601) 825 - 3839, 280 Old Highway 80, Brandon, MS 39042, I-20, Exit 56, Red Roof Inn has three accessible rooms.  Nearby restaurants within walking distance include Dairy Queen, Sonic, and Waffle House. 

 

·         Hilton Garden Inn Jackson/Pearl – (601) 933 – 1174, 438 Riverwind Drive, Pearl, MS 39208.  Hilton Garden Inn has five accessible rooms and is within walking distance of numerous restaurants including O’Charley’s, Lonestar Steakhouse, numerous fast food restaurants, and Starbucks.  Trustmark Park (home of the Jackson Braves minor league baseball team), Tinseltown Cinema and Bass Pro Shop are also within walking distance.
